
Michelle Bender
Michelle brings more than two decades of experience as a music educator, performer, and director. She is a Teacher of the Arts with the Halton Catholic District School Board and holds both a Bachelor of Music in Voice and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University.
Throughout her career, Michelle has directed a wide range of musical groups, including award-winning choirs, glee clubs, concert bands, and children's musical theatre productions. She also co-founded the Queen’s Student Opera Company and has performed in several local theatre productions, with standout roles such as Missy in The Marvelous Wonderettes (HPG), Guinevere in Camelot, and Amy in Company (DLTP).
Michelle currently sings tenor with Wicked Pitches Quartet, and is an active member of the Education Committee for Harmony Inc.’s Area 5. She is also the director of Young Voices, a community children’s choir that fosters musical growth and confidence in young singers. As Director of Skyway Connection Chorus, Michelle brings energy, creativity, and a strong belief in the power of community through music.
